About Us
Matthew Sanford is a residential and community development visionary based in Charleston, SC. In his early career, he founded and grew businesses in both consumer packaged goods and telecommunications. For the last twenty years, he has established himself as a foremost leader in retail banking. It was during this time that Matthew’s appreciation for landscape and interior design blossomed, leading him to give new life to existing residences in New England and the Southeast.
Deeply passionate about community engagement and shared experience, Matthew established the non-profit organization CAYA in 2020 fostering mindfulness and wellbeing in children through arts, agriculture and allyship. In the same year he founded and developed Blue Bee Farm as both a working farm and physical asset to CAYA’s mission. His process is dedicated to responsible design and driven by the alchemy created between humans and nature.
Amber Guyton is a multidisciplinary creative director, designer and storyteller with fifteen years of experience building worlds, building narratives and building reputations for brands and agencies. Amber’s perspective reflects her unceasing cultural curiosity. Her work is driven by strategy and creative in equal parts, extracting human truths to fuel design and interaction that matters. Clients include Calvin Klein, Citibank, LVMH, Conde Nast, Rémy Martin, Hilton, Cadillac, and Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater. Amber is a Charleston, SC native and forever New Yorker currently rediscovering the good in the American South and working globally.
